Our O.G. Açaí Bowl Recipe is a classic and one our most famous bowls. Here is the low down on how to whip it up at home..
What you will need: a blender, frozen fruit, fresh fruit, liquid, a bowl, & a spoon
- 1/4 cup liquid
- 1/4 cup frozen bananas
- 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 pack acai
- 1 Tablespoon Chia or Flaxseeds (optional)
- 1/2 cup of your favorite granola
- 1/2 fresh banana
- 1/4 cup of fresh strawberries
- 1 teaspoon local honey
How to: Grab your blender and add all of the frozen fruit! The key here for all smoothie bowls is a strong blender, this is how that thick consistency is achieved. You will need a strong blender and a stick buddy to mash the blend. The consistency should be so thick you can turn your blender over and nothing will spill out. After you have blended the fruit to perfection grab your spatula and scoop out the blend into your bowl.
For the toppings you will want to add the granola first!. Then add the fresh fruit to the top of the granola. We always like to drizzle our bowls with local honey for the perfect garnish!
